02: Treasure life’s beauty

Treasure life’s beauty
before the chills of winter
drive all life away

Driving is my meditation. While motoring around the North side of Madison, I came across some freshly bailed hay.

Rather than use a spring or summer photo for this poem, I decided to use something that fit the season and my location. While flowers and blue skies traditionally signify beauty, so does the harvest. It’s the culmination of the work from the past six months, and the results will nourish livestock over the winter.
