The past has beauty
but can prove discomforting
to live in today
I drive to escape the past. The more I drive, the further I hope to put it in my rear-view mirror. When out for a drive recently, I ended up a bit lost, but found a new park to hike. During my hike, I noticed this old stone building, with another next to it.
The past has beauty. Everything seems perfect and delightful in hindsight. But we look at what we are today, and most would choose not to regress. Enjoy previous the memories created, preferably with a glass of scotch and good friends, but never try to relive it. Find new roads to travel. You never know what you’ll find.
